Winds are strong and elevation is high on the road through Utah’s Sunset Pass. This pattern shows the Dirty Devil River flowing through canyons carved over millions of years. The river is surrounded by plateau walls, with colorful striations telling the story of a layered landscape that transformed from swamp to desert over time. Today, Sunset Pass offers spectacular canyon views.
